moving, snow, and pokemon

Wed Feb 3, 2010, 12:01 AM
january 31, 2010 - february 1, 2010

busy finishing packing. getting all my stuff shipped.

when arrived at new place, met some nice residents. had really long chat with dorm staff wife, she's really adorable. she asked about the plastic tree pin on my jacket, she was surprised that arimura ryutaro is japanese and that he's a boy. she laughed really hard when i told her that sanbe-sensei was like nodame and that i once accidentally called her senbei-sensei (cracker teacher). dorm staff wife told me that she was going to shibuya for the first time ever that night to go with a friend to the sweets place me and jamie like. i told her that that place is really good and she told me we should go together sometime.

when got to new room, fell asleep.

later, when woke up, it was snowing!!

february 2, 2010

met up with jamie and ashley in ikebukuro. went to namja town and had gyoza stadium for lunch and ice cream for dessert. amazingly creamy yaki-imo japanese sweet potato ice cream.

then, went to the pokemon center, hamamatsu. jamie and ashley got some stuffed animals and i got pokemon candy in a jigglypuff tin.

afterwards, ate dinner at first kitchen in shibuya because ashley really wanted to go there.

then, did karaoke in shinjuku. did a bunch of nostalgic songs, like the opening theme to escaflowne ("yakusoku wa iranai" by sakamoto maaya).

  • Mood: Tired
  • Listening to: yakusoku wa iranai - sakamoto maaya
  • Eating: pokemon candy
