keep seeing sanada hiroyuki in tea commercials on the train television everywhere even though he got killed off on "lost." like this one ( www.youtube.com/watch?v=w20Qpx… ) where the non-japanese woman keeps saying "ashi" (foot) instead of "aji" (taste/flavor) and sanada hiroyuki keeps trying to correct her.

nice long chat with staff-san lady. talked about mac computers, l'arc~en~ciel, etc. talked about asakusa, told her that i like dango, she told me about yaki-imo sweet potato place in asakusa. whenever i talk to staff-san lady, we always laugh a lot. feel like my conversational skills are getting better whenever i  talk to her.

met ashley in shinjuku. lunch at "la pausa." karaoke. conbini to get snacks for movie. met jamie. three of us went to see movie called "parade" ( www.youtube.com/watch?v=VJg5Bc… ), staring fujiwara tatsuya ( abroad-in-tokyo.deviantart.com… ). really interesting film based on a novel, can see it being made into a stage play. unfortunately, guessed the "surprise/twist ending" before the film even started because i know fujiwara tatsuya too well.

diner at ducky duck's, had sakura cherry blossom mon blanc with dried flowers, red bean, and maccha green tea crunchy granola.

met ashley and jamie in shinjuku. indian food for lunch at the usual place. went to "ranking ranqueen" to pick up some snacks before concert.

indie's concert at takadanobaba. saw both exist†trace ( www.youtube.com/watch?v=JiUB9y… ) and kaya ( www.youtube.com/watch?v=EYvmJI… ) for the second time. caught another exist†trace guitar pick, gave it to ashley.

met jamie and ashley in shinjuku. today's plan: to sneak pie into karaoke. pie shop in shinjuku station always smells amazing whenever we pass by and pies there not too expensive (700ish yen). ashley bought pie in the station before meeting up with us. sweet potato apple pie with powdered sugar in celebration of upcoming "white day" ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_Da… )!

had lunch at chinese restaurant been meaning to try in lumine est. wasn't sure about how good restaurant was at first because no one seems to ever be in there during lunch but always crowded during dinner time. amazing dumping, wanton soup, and lychee iced tea.

got some plastic forks at "don quixote." did karaoke for three hours while eating pie.

then went to marui one to waste some time. while looking around "black peace now," tried on a silly metal necklace with funny winged lion pendant just for fun. got really freaked out because couldn't have been wearing the necklace for more than a minute or two and when i took it off i could feel a patch on my neck burning due to allergic reaction to the metal. really creeped me out.

ate dinner at hawaiin place in lumine est. shrimp avocado tacos and hawaiian omelet.

met jamie and ashley in shinjuku. ate lunch at freshness burger near marui one. baskin-robbins, love potion #31 flavor, white chocolate and raspberry ice cream with raspberry syrup and chocolate hearts.

went to indies concert at venue "holiday shinjuku" that i hadn't been to before. walk through sketchy streets with lots of hosts to get there.

suffered through some pretty bad bands. saw "alsdead" ( www.youtube.com/watch?v=t4jDBV… ) for the gazillionth time and navir for the second time. navir's bassist (who looks like a pincushion because he has so many piercings in his face) kept staring at me again, even though he's apparently really shy. talked a bit to navir after show. while walking back to station, hosts called out to me and ashley saying "kawaii" (cute).

went to harajuku. softbank store to renew prepaid cellphone. ate takoyaki baked octopus balls for lunch, "vegi-tako" takoyaki with salad on top. while standing in line, woman in front of me dropped her scrunchie, so i gave it back to her and she thanked me.  sat outside eating, enjoying the 60 degree weather and pleasant breeze.

went to movie theater to see "sherlock holmes" finally. enjoyed the film a lot. unusual yet lovable main characters. good bromantic chemistry. really get the feel/atmosphere of the environment/setting. gorgeous costumes. only problem with the film is that the pacing was perpetually barreling forward with no down time to breathe. but other than that it was a very well-executed film.

explored lumine 2. brought home a bag of bagels from "bagel & bagel."

at first i thought this ( www.youtube.com/watch?v=wCwEBz… ) was hilarious (featuring what i call "davey's deekey deekey dance," "deekey deekey" being the onomatopoeia my brain created for davey's shoes as he flails around like a crazy person). but now i realize that this ( www.youtube.com/watch?v=zGbFry… ) is about a gazillion times more hilarious. i especially appreciate jade's twirly-ness.

my question is why did lady gaga make this music video ( perezhilton.com/2010-03-12-its… ) where she poisons and kills all the innocent people in a diner when afi released this music video in january ( www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vz__wH… ) where davey poisons and kills all the not-so-innocent people at a party?
